Environmental Program

As many of you have suggested, we are making our environmental contest bigger and better this year! We are making it a Digital Fair open for the entire month of April 2017. Instead of limiting to the Literature and Art entries, we are opening it out to all kinds of smarts. Every single action counts!

GOING GREEN FAIR (April 1st - April 30th)

All entries welcome: Art, Music, Photography, Essays, Poems, Recipes, Videos, Projects you are doing or have done this year, Apps,… anything that fits the Theme Going Green - raising awareness, taking actions - supporting and protecting our environment!

Let your creativity flow…Let your love for the environment show!

(Just make sure to post your own original creative work, avoid using copyrighted works, cite all references and give all due credits.)

Get ready. Get going (green). Start earning points to get recognized as LISD PTA 2017 Green Ambassadors or Green Schools!

Saturday, April 22nd (International Mother Earth Day) - Friday, April 28th (National Arbor Day)

Earth Day, or International Mother Earth Day, is an annual event, celebrated on April 22nd, on which events are held worldwide to demonstrate support for environmental protection. We will send information in our newsletter about Earth Day celebrations.

For the school week starting Monday, April 24th to Friday, April 28th, we have a theme for each day. Just do something simple that goes with the theme. Whether small or big, every single action matters!

Tell us what you do with #LISDPTAGreenWeek.
