Dressed to Learn Volunteer Signup for 2024-25

Dressed to Learn helped over 1500 students in need in 2023-24 and we couldn’t have done it without the help of our weekly volunteers!

It takes a human touch to sort, label and organize donations, and we are so grateful for our volunteers and the valuable work they do! We are great for parent/student volunteer pairs.

Please sign up via our 2024-25 Volunteer sign up sheet.

Dressed to Learn is a LISD Council of PTAs program housed in two portable classrooms at Southridge Elementary school, adjacent to Durham Middle School. Dressed to Learn provides comfy school clothes for LISD students in need so they can focus on the important job of learning each day! LISD social work and counseling use this vital resource to provide shoes, under layers, hygiene items, tops, bottom, hoodies and coats to students who are in need, for any reason.

Our volunteers sort through the many generous donations from our community and local-PTA-led laundered lost-and-found donations from LISD schools. These items are put to immediate use in the LISD community.
