LISD & PTAs Shared Commitments

Council President Carrie Baker is pleased to share a new document developed this summer by the LISD Council of PTAs executive board in collaboration with district leaders, including the school chiefs and others. It is titled Shared Commitments Between the Lewisville Independent School District (LISD) and the LISD Council of PTAs.

The Purpose Statement reads:

The success of our partnership between Lewisville ISD and the LISD Council of PTAs depends on a shared understanding of roles and expectations, mutual support for our respective missions, and a commitment to the governance structures that guide both LISD schools and local PTAs. These Shared Commitments outline the expectations that guide how we work together so our collaboration strengthens campuses and supports positive outcomes for every student.

This document is designed to bring clarity to the roles of PTA executive board members and campus administrators. The guidelines are grounded in Texas PTA governing documents and LISD policy, ensuring consistency and alignment across our district.
