Reflections 25-26: I Belong

Welcome to a new year of the National PTA Reflections Program!

This year’s official theme is:  🎭 “I Belong!”

It’s a powerful invitation for students to reflect on their sense of identity, inclusion, and place in the world. Whether through dance, literature, music composition, film production, photography, or visual arts, we want every student to feel inspired to express what belonging means to them.

 What To Do Now

  1. Promote the theme! Use school newsletters, social media, morning announcements, and bulletin boards.
  2. Confirm your school’s participation and set your timeline.
  3. Recruit local judges—think artists, writers, musicians, photographers, or educators.
  4. Double-check the rules for each category and ensure each student’s submission includes a title and artist statement that connects to the theme.
  5. Stay tuned for a virtual check-in in early September—we’ll walk through logistics and answer any questions over a zoom session.
  6. Studio ArtHouse Workshops is once again partnering with LISD and will offer two separate workshops at the Highland Village studio for kids aged 6 to 12.  The dates are: Saturday, September 6 (1-3 PM) and Saturday, September 13 (1-3 PM).  The cost per student is $25.00. www.studioarthouse.com

Let’s help our students feel seen, heard, and empowered. “I Belong!” is more than a theme—it’s a chance to foster connection and confidence through creative expression.

Thank you for championing this program on your campus and for helping make this year’s Reflections a success.
